Notary Fees & Pricing
Notary and Apostille Prices
We offer some of the most cost-effective notary and Apostille services in London. With convenient offices in Tooting and Knightsbridge. Our pricing is fair, transparent, and competitive. Ensuring you receive a professional service at reasonable rates.
We cannot usually provide a fixed fee until we have seen the document or documents and understand the scope of the work required.
Fees are calculated by reference to the nature and complexity of the document, the number of documents, the number of signatories, whether any person is signing on behalf of a company or another person, whether identity or authority checks are required, whether legalisation or apostille services are required, whether the matter is urgent, whether an out of office appointment is required, and the time reasonably spent.
The prices below are estimates based on one signatory attending an appointment in person with one document. Additional fees may apply for additional documents, additional signatories, urgent work, out of office appointments, courier services, legalisation, consular fees, apostilles or other third party charges.
Notary Fees
- Simple documents, ID and educational documents: £60 – £80
- Complex documents and legal documents (such as Powers of Attorney and Company Documents): £80 – £200.
Bulk discounts: Additional documents are usually charged at a reduced price, eligibility for a bulk discount depends on the complexity of the work involved.
Apostille Fees
(Standard Service – approx. 7 working days)
- Apostille only: From £100-£120.
- Notary and Apostille combined: Starting From £150 per document.
Express Apostille Service
(approx. 3 working days)
Our faster apostille service has additional fees and will need to be discussed with the notary.
Bulk Discounts
Additional documents are usually charged at a reduced price; this can also be applied to multiple apostilles too. Eligibility for a bulk discount depends on the complexity of the work involved.
Document Preparation
We can also help prepare or draft certain documents such as Notarial certificates, declarations and formal documents. Where required, we may prepare a notarial certificate, declaration, affidavit or other document limited to notarial formalities.
We do not draft, advise on or materially amend legal deeds, contracts, conveyancing documents, wills, powers of attorney, company formation documents, trust documents, probate documents, tax documents or transactional documents. The notary’s role is limited to notarial certification, witnessing, authentication and legalisation.
The notary does not advise on, manage, facilitate or participate in any underlying transaction to which a document may relate. Where work is charged by time, the hourly rate is £250. The minimum fee is £150. This does not include apostille, consular legalisation, courier charges or other third party fees.
Out-Call Appointments & Weekend Appointments
Out-call and weekend appointments may include extra fees. These will need to be discussed with the notary before booking.
Out-call appointments usually depend on your location and how close you are to our offices.
Services, Key Stages & Usual Time Scales:
We provide notarial certification, witnessing, authentication and legalisation services for individuals and companies. This may include certified copies, witnessing signatures, powers of attorney, statutory declarations, affidavits, educational documents, company documents, identity documents, travel consent documents and apostille or consular legalisation.
The usual stages are:
1. Initial enquiry and document review
Please email or WhatsApp the document or documents to us before the appointment. We will review the documents and confirm whether we can assist. This is usually completed on the same day or within 1 working day.
2. Quote and confirmation of requirements
Once we have reviewed the documents, we will provide a quote and confirm the identification, authority and supporting documents required. This is usually completed on the same day as the document review.
3. Identity, capacity and authority checks
Before notarisation, we must check identity, capacity, understanding and authority where relevant. For company documents, we may ask for evidence of the company’s existence, the signatory’s role and authority to sign. These checks are usually completed before or at the appointment.
4. Appointment and notarisation
Appointments are usually available within 1 to 2 working days, subject to availability, document complexity and receipt of the required information. Same day appointments may be available where the documents are provided early enough and the matter is straightforward.
5. Apostille or legalisation, if required
If an apostille is required, this is a separate stage after notarisation. Our Standard apostille service is usually approximately 7-10 working days. Our Express apostille service is usually approximately 3-4 working days, subject to FCDO Processing times.
6. Return of documents
Documents may be collected, posted, couriered or emailed where appropriate. Postal and courier times are outside our control.
